Self storage operator Strong Room identified two prime sites, Salisbury and Marchwood near Southampton to expand their operations.
Storage Future were contracted to supply and install the following at each site:
MARCHWOOD SITE
- Single level 6,500 sq.ft mezzanine floor to BRE 437;
- 60 min fire protection;
- Full electrical and smoke detection systems to both floors;
- Self storage corridor & partitioning systems to both floors;
- Flat panel steel swing doors.
A total of 151 units were created in the new 15,000 sq.ft facility. Unit sizes range from 15 sq.ft to 250 sq.ft.
An efficiency of 72% net rentable area/gross floor area was achieved.
SALISBURY SITE
Single level 11,000 sq.ft. mezzanine floor to BRE 437;
- 60 min fire protection;
- Full electrical and smoke detection systems to both floors;
- Self storage corridor & partitioning systems to both floors;
- Flat panel swing doors;
- Automatic sliding glass door to loading bay;
- Project management of installation of a goods / passenger lift and the alarm and access control (including CCTV) systems.
A total of 247 units were created in the new 21,000 sq.ft facility. Unit sizes range from 15 sq.ft to 250 sq.ft.
An efficiency of 73% in net rentable area/gross floor area was achieved.
